Man Utd boss in Pogba text

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has sent a text to club officials regarding Paul Pogba.

That’s according to the Independent, who say the Red Devils manager is growing increasingly frustrated with the World Cup winner.

Pogba was dire in the club’s 2-2 draw with Southampton – with the performance reportedly forcing Mourinho to label the player a ‘virus’ in the aftermath.

And the Independent say Mourinho has now texted club officials about Pogba, saying he is running out of ways to get him firing.

The softer and hard-line methods he has attempted to use have both had little impact on the France international.

Real Madrid talks revelation

Real Madrid reportedly spent ‘days’ trying to lure Mourinho away from Manchester United.

Ok Diario claim Los Blancos wanted the 55-year-old to replace Julen Lopetegui, who was axed in October.

And they then supposedly spent days in contact with Mourinho, whose future at United is precarious.

The 55-year-old decided to stay at Old Trafford, however.

And Real were left with no choice but to appoint rookie Santiago Solari instead.

Dixon sack claim

Lee Dixon believes United will sack Mourinho – but only when they have no mathematical chance of finishing in the top four.

He said: “Every time I watch Man United now they’ve got one player who stands out a million miles and that’s Rashford.

“You’ve got an asset like that and they’re not using him.

“It’s an absolute shambles. I think finishing in the top four is the cutoff.

“If there’s no chance of that then he’s gone.”
